Hi, this fundraiser is on behalf of my siblings and I for my mother who is sadly suffering from stage IV leiomyosarcoma (LMS). LMS is a very rare and aggressive type of soft tissue cancer that can double in size in less than a month and affects only a small percentage of all cancer cases a year (maybe less than 5%).

For those that know my mother personally know that she is a very hard worker and is admired by her patrons in how she works alongside my dad. I’ve heard it personally from them many times and I can quote one I’ve heard from a couple different ones, “look at your mom and dad, they’re such hard workers and are so cute together, I love them.” Aside from being a hard worker she is energetic and optimistic and loves to crack jokes. She loves the outdoors and hasn’t been outside since August of 2022. There was so much going on in her personal life that we didn’t think it was cancer affecting her at the early stages.

My mother is a type of person who will brush off any minor pains because she doesn’t want to worry anyone. It’s taken a lot out of me to go ahead and start this fundraiser because she likes to keep her life private. But she tells my siblings and I that one day she will get better and we all hope and pray that she does, our faith is strong. So we started doing some research and found a place that specializes is sarcomas (cancer) that have spread to different parts of the body, it’s out in Texas and sadly her insurance will not cover her for out of state visits. This is why I am asking family and friends to help aide my mom in receiving the special medical attention she needs. The Cancer Institute we have been taking her to are leaning towards turning her down because of how progressed this cancer has gotten. But I feel, I hope that my mom can recover to an extent over at Texas and we can’t do it without a little bit of help. Anything really does help.
