Hi, my name is Brittany, and I’m Michael Moore’s wife.

I never imagined I’d have to make a GoFundMe, and it’s very humbling to ask for help — but right now, our family truly needs it.

The week before Thanksgiving, Michael came down with Covid. Then, on Thanksgiving Day, he was in a four-wheeler accident that caused a type 2 AC separation in his right shoulder, leaving him unable to work. We thought healing from that injury would be the main challenge — but things quickly got much worse.

This past Thursday, I had to rush Michael to the emergency room. The news was far from what we hoped for. He was admitted to the hospital with multiple blood clots in his lungs, pneumonia, and a pulmonary infarction in his right lung — all complications from Covid combined with the trauma of the accident. He is still in the hospital now and will remain here for at least the next few days. Once discharged, he’ll be on blood thinners for the next three months and will need ongoing follow-ups and repeat scans with a lung specialist.

Michael has a long recovery ahead, and returning to work won’t be possible for quite some time.

With Michael being the primary provider for our family, suddenly becoming a one-income household with three kids has put us in an extremely difficult financial position. I want him to focus on healing — not worrying about medical bills, daily expenses, or how we’re going to make Christmas happen for our kids.

We are doing everything we can, but we simply weren’t prepared for this. Any support, no matter the amount, would make a meaningful difference for our family during this incredibly hard time.
