Help me keep my Home
Donation protected
Most of my life has been as a storyteller, dancer, choreographer, producer, and director in the arts community in DC and our neighboring states. Being seen as The Dancing Diplomat and Queen Mother Etonde, I love what I do as the sole business owner of Nubian Institute. It brings joy to my heart and soul when I am involved and connected. I offer spiritual and cultural ceremonies including libations, weddings, baby blessings and home-goings. Utilizing my knowledge of African and African American history as a tour guide helped me earn extra money.
The last two years of the COVID pandemic stopped my business. The event gatherings were canceled. Performances stopped. The school’s shutdown. DC tours and tourists were told not to come. I have been out of work for two years. My condo’s mortgage and utilities have gotten far behind. I have been able to work with the utility companies a bit, but the mortgage company is requesting their money as soon as possible. I have tried to get assistance from PG County and Maryland governments. I don’t know what else to do. I am asking for your help to keep the doors open, so I can continue my life’s calling without foreclosure and eviction. I want to keep my business place and home. Please help. All donations are accepted, no matter the amount. I appreciate you all. It Takes a Village.
