Luke Lacey's Kidney Cancer Fund

Donation protected
Luke Lacey just had his 4th birthday. A couple of weeks ago Luke was diagnosed with Wilm's Tumor which is a type of kidney cancer in children typically under the age of 5. While the prognosis for Luke is good he will have some trials ahead of him. He got his first round of chemo yesterday and will continue to get chemo to shrink the tumor which right now is in his kidney until he has surgery to remove it. At this time the tumor is about 10 cm or roughly 4 in. After that, he will face upwards of 6 more months of chemo depending on the aggressiveness of the tumor. In the meantime, he is being treated in a hospital in Newcastle. Luke's parents, Tom and Dori have decided that Tom will be the one to be the caregiver for Luke during the day. With now only one parent working the financial stress is quite a lot on the family.
I have been friends with Dori for over 30 years and I offered to take care of this for them and hopefully give them some help with the support of caring people that are willing to donate. Then they will be able to use their time and attention caring for Luke and helping him to heal. On behalf of the Lacey family, thank you so much for any support you can give. Blessings!
