Kelsey’s Battle
Donation protected
At the end of February my daughter, Kelsey, had to go to the ER for debilitating pain that turned out to be an acute appendicitis. While doing diagnostic imaging, they discovered a mass on one of her ovaries. After seemingly endless testing and a complete radical hysterectomy, she was diagnosed with stage three ovarian cancer. Although surgery went well, they were unable to completely remove all of the cancerous cells. She is now looking at six rounds of “aggressive” chemotherapy.
During the next six months she is going to be unable to work, and she has already been off for over a month. For those of you that know Kelsey, not only does she work full-time, but she also runs an American Mustang horse rescue that currently houses 10 horses, seven of which have special needs. She and her fiancé, Michael, and their 10 year old daughter, Carina, are going to need help. Every little thing in life costs money. She does not have medical insurance and although St. Charles Hospital system has been amazing, there are still costs. She lives 30 minutes from the cancer center so gas alone is ridiculous. She needs help. Her family needs help. Please, if you are able, consider contributing to an amazing young woman who has given so much good to this world. I have no doubt her Warrior spirit is going to beat this. But wouldn’t it be wonderful if she didn’t have to worry about money while she fights.
Obviously this is a fundraiser close to my heart. She is my heart. Please help if you can.
Thank you.
