Jasper needs Surgery
Donation protected
My name is Carmen. I am a disabled USN veteran and I’m seeking help getting my cat Jasper a surgery he needs sooner rather than later. He has bladder stones and as a male cat he cannot pass them safely without risking a blockage which would be very dangerous. He has been with me throughout my recovery from major medical issues and he is my world. If you chose to help in any way I can’t tell you how much it would mean to me and my little family (just me Japser and my other cat Piri)
Jasper is six years old and has been with me since he was a kitten. I adopted him from the Humane Society and he is the friendliest cat you might ever meet. While he is not designated as a service or emotional support animal in any legal sense, he has been an unconditional support to me. I’ve been recovering from physical and mental illness I incurred while serving in the Navy for seven years until I was medically retired in 2023. It’s been a struggle to keep my head above water financially for a long time. I’m working on getting my disability rating from 90% to 100% with the VA to better meet my financial responsibilities. With that in mind my credit score is not good enough for me to be able to get approved for any loans (despite trying) and this is too time sensitive for me to find another solution.
The surgery he needs will cost $2000 on the low end and upwards of $7000 if there are complications so my current goal of $5000 is an attempt to find a middle ground. If we end up not needing all of it, I will make a donation to the shelter I adopted him from.
He is stable for the moment but that could change suddenly and without any other warning. I’m continuing to look for other avenues to pay for what he needs, but we are asking for charity at this point no matter what I do.
Please help us if you can.
