Meet Phoebe, my beautiful one year old Golden Retriever who desperately needs your help to give her the chance of being able to walk and Iive the life she truly deserves.
At only 6 months old, Phoebe underwent radical surgery to create artificial ligaments in both her back legs. Despite intensive physio and hydrotherapy sessions, the surgery has sadly been unsuccessful. I knew this was a possibility, but had to grasp the chance of it working. The surgery cost £4,500 plus the weekly rehabilitation she needed. As a single parent on a low income, this has been an extremely difficult time.
Phoebe now needs further surgery on both legs, which the surgeon is confident will enable her to walk now she has grown to her full size. This surgery will come at a cost of £6,500, again with months of physio and hydrotherapy to follow, which I have no means to pay for. It absolutely breaks my heart to know that I can’t give her what she needs. The thought of not having her in my life or living her life in pain is unimaginable. She’s lived such a little life so far, and despite having numerous other challenges, she always has a smile on her face and wag in her tail for everyone she meets.
Please help me in raising enough money to give my girl a chance. Any contribution will be so very much appreciated and I will be grateful from the bottom of my heart.
With love and hope, Lindsay and Phoebe x
