Hello everyone! I just wanted to give an update on Juan. As most of you are aware he made the brave choice to begin hospice care. At this time he is being treated for comfort under the care of his hospice team and nursing staff at Allegheny General Hospital until he passes.

Everyone’s donations, prayers, and time have been greatly appreciated. With everyone’s support this has allowed Juan to be surrounded by his family and close friends.

Juan continues to be the fighter that we all know and love. However, his body is becoming weaker. As he continues this journey we ask for continued prayers.

Thank you

I’ve created this to assist Juan Zamora’s family for medical arrangements and financial support. As most of you know, Juan has been in end stage renal failure and recently things have taken a drastic turn in combination with his other health issues. He was diagnosed with diabetes in 2009 but over the years has had a decline in health. He had a heart attack at 35 and had surgeries to add and replace 3 stents. The past several years have been harder on him as he was placed on the kidney transplant list and was undergoing dialysis 3 days a week. Severe infections forced him to be removed from the transplant list. To add to all of this, he then developed severe vascular issues which means blood flow has stoped to all his extremities and he has developed severe necrosis to his fingers and toes with no option to amputate.
Unfortunately, he has made the decision to start hospice care. This step was not considered lightly and will start once he meets all criteria.
Any donations will go towards helping with any out of pocket medical expenses and time off work and travel for his adult children and close family members who want to be by his side in these up coming weeks/ days. If you are unable to donate please say a prayer and share.
Thank you.
