My wife was diagnosed with a double positive stage 1 invasive ductal carcinoma on March 31, 2020. This comes at an, obviously, trying time in life due to the pandemic and everyone being out of work. On top of that, we were just recovering financially from an emergency appendectomy ($25,000) a few months back due to her appendix almost bursting. Any funds received will be used to support bills and treatment. I realize the goal is very low, but that is mainly due to the economic state of things around the globe. I just have hope there are some who are in a better state financially than ourselves.
Treatment protocol is Oncoplastic Reduction followed by 20 radiation visits. During this time, even if businesses reopen, she would not be able to return to work. Surgery has not been scheduled just now, but just the biopsy and labs thus far have been over $7,000. I estimate the surgery and radiation to be at minimum the same as the appendectomy, not to mention the OncotypeIQ genetic testing that hasn't gone through as of yet.
No donation is too small, and all help is appreciated in this time of need.
