CANCER SUCKS

Hey everyone, my names Maggie, and I’m Shane’s sister.

Recently we’ve received devastating news, that my brother has a cancerous tumour on his throat, we thought maybe it was early and they’d be able to do a surgery to remove it, but that unfortunately isn’t the case there in Nova Scotia, along with further cat scans and full body pet scans the doctors discovered the cancer had spread to his liver putting him into stage 4 cancer.

My brother has been in a lot of pain, tired and rapidly losing weight as the tumour grows bigger covering the opening to his stomach :(

He’s not been able to go to work the last 5 weeks and currently waiting on critical care benefits.

Our mom, Marion (DeeDee) has been travelling from Cape Breton to Dartmouth during the week to support him and help him get to and from his doctors appointments.

My brother is only 52 years old and right now his 2 children (10,8) are being cared for by our aunt Murdell in this difficult time.

I’m asking for any help possible so we can pay his rent, bills, gas and take that bit of stress away.
