Jordan's Journey
Donation protected
Jordan was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in July of 2023. She began a 6-month journey of receiving ABVD chemo treatments, with her last one being in January of 2024. After her treatments ended, she had a PET scan done to ensure everything continued to look clear. Unfortunately, the scan did show more areas of concern. She had a VATS procedure done on March 4th, which confirmed Hodgkins Lymphoma recurrence. Her amazing team of doctors quickly came up with a plan, and she was admitted for her first round of inpatient chemo which lasted for 4 days. This new medicine that she received was called ICE. On March 27th, we traveled to Charlotte, NC, to meet her new team of doctors at the Levine Cancer Center Institute, where she will be receiving a stem cell transplant. The plan for now is for her to receive one more round of inpatient chemo at Spartanburg Regional in the next couple of weeks. After she receives this, they will travel to Charlotte on May 10th, to receive the first of five injections for her stem cell harvest. The retrieval date is scheduled for May 14th. On May 22nd, she will travel back to Charlotte to begin the journey of the stem cell transplant. On this day, she will be admitted to the hospital for the following 3-4 weeks. The first few days, she will be administered a very high dose of chemo, to try to initially kill all of the cancerous cells. Her stem cell transplant day will be on May 29th. Once she is released from the hospital, she will still have to stay nearby in the Charlotte area for an additional two weeks. This is necessary because after treatment, her immune system will be like a newborn baby, and incredibly susceptible to infection. The doctors require her to be within a certain distance so she can be seen quickly in case there are any signs of infection. This will also mean that she will not be able to see her kiddos for 6 weeks. This has been the most difficult aspect, but she is enjoying every day with her sweet babies and focusing on each day as it comes.
With all of this, comes an incredible amount of expenses. Any donations made will be used toward housing, meals, groceries, medical expenses, etc.. Any amount given is greatly appreciated, and will be such a huge blessing. If you cannot give financially, we appreciate the prayers that have been covering Jordan. On some of the most difficult days, we have witnessed peace, joy, and miracle after miracle take place. We have seen the Lord use her story in so many incredible ways. He has, and forever will be, faithful. We will see a victory! They have a big journey ahead, but we are confident that healing will take place, and that the Lord will strengthen everyone's faith through this process.
From our family, we thank you from the depths of our hearts for coming alongside her journey. Whether it be financially, or through prayer, we have witnessed the blessings of community, and what can happen when we all come together.
"But He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
