Utah Metropolitan Ballet is a 501(c)(3) professional ballet company located in Utah Valley that delivers world-class ballet not only to Utah audiences, but to those nationally and even abroad. The company, formerly called Utah Regional Ballet, has a rich history spanning over three decades, including numerous highly acclaimed productions, a commitment to enrich the community, and the premiere ballet school in the state. Utah Metropolitan Ballet has grown significantly since its establishment in 1980 by Founder and Artistic Director, Jacqueline P. Colledge, and is poised for an even greater future.
This year, UMB will unveil an ALL NEW Nutcracker! This must-see tradition has been reimagined for a new generation [by Artistic Director, Jacqueline Colledge.] Audiences will go on a journey to a magical world filled with dancing snowflakes, larger than life toys, and waltzing flowers. Adorned with festive sets and costumes designed by renowned Utah artist, Cassandra Barney, nothing will get you and your family into the holiday spirit quite like the enchantment of UMB's "Nutcracker."
Help Create Magic!
For over 35 remarkable years, Utah Valley has made Nutcracker a part of their Holiday tradition. We need our community's help to raise the funds necessary to bring this gorgeous and festive production to the Covey Center stage on December 9th. Utah Metropolitan Ballet has seen first-hand how the arts can change lives and benefit our community. If the Nutcracker is part of your holiday tradition, if you love stunning classical ballet, or if you know a dancer, now is the time to show your support!
