My name is Edward Burdick. I was born with Cerebral Palsy. I was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. In addition, I suffer from severe osteoporosis.
Throughout the years, I have always had to use aids (e.g., canes, walkers and now wheelchairs) to get around and to perform routine tasks. In the last few years, my health has deteriorated so I cannot work and am home bound. My current medical condition makes traveling by car very difficult and unsafe. In consultation with my doctors, they agree it is time for me to look at purchasing a handicapped accessible van for wheelchairs.
The purchase of a wheelchair van is extremely expensive...much like a mortgage. I have researched grant possibilities but unfortunately I do not qualify as I am not a veteran and I am unable to work. Therefore, I am humbly asking my friends for financial help. Please know that any donation, large or small, will be greatly appreciated!!! May God bless you.
