Help Isa go to Stanford this Summer

My name is Isabel Torres and I have been accepted to Stanford’s PreCollegiate Summer Institute, a three-week residential program that begins June 21st! I will be one of the 15-20 students focusing in legal studies. It’s my dream to attend Stanford University one day, and it would be indescribable to be able to attend it for three weeks this summer. This is an amazing opportunity and my goal is to raise the money I need to attend.

I am not sure yet what I want to study in college however I am considering majoring in education and then going to law school. I love working with children and I’ve always looked at each day as an opportunity to learn something new and hope to pass this on to my future students.  I also became involved this year with my high school’s mock trial team and it’s been such an amazing experience for me. Through mock trial I have discovered a whole new interest which I want to pursue as well. I hope to be able to combine my interest in education and law somehow. This program provides an amazing opportunity to pursue my curiosity and interest in law and meet other students from all over the world that share this interest in a real academic environment.  I will be enrolled in an intensive legal studies course taught by a Stanford instructor, where I will be exposed to a wide variety of legal topics and will get to discuss and debate legal issues and real life cases.  With this summer experience I hope to also develop and improve my communication and public speaking skills.

This summer program will also give me a great taste of college life at my dream school, Stanford University. I have been working very hard my first two years in High School to maintain over a 4.0 GPA and participate in activities that enrich my experience as a high school student and give me skills I will need to succeed in college and beyond. I need $5990 to cover the program’s tuition that includes all costs, including food, board & activities. My parents have been super supportive and with sacrifice have given me an initial $1K. I have an ambitious goal, which is to raise $4990 in 12 days! I need your help and support to make this possible.
