If you've lived in the Houston/Sugar Land area in the last 20 years, there's a good chance Maria took care of you or someone you loved through her work as a nurse at the various places she worked as a nurse which includes MD Anderson Cancer Center in the Houston Medical Center. Perhaps you know her from church at St. Theresa or living on Zimmerly Court. When her husband of 35 years passed away due to his health deteriorating from a brain tumor, lung cancer & stroke after years of heart problems, she still had no plans to do anything like this to ask for assistance for his hospital bills or for his funeral. (She has missed a lot of work so she could be by his side when he was ill which definitely doesn't help.) Because of the overwhelming amount of inquiries about where donation can be sent to help out the family, we have gone ahead & opened this gofundme account with Maria's blessing, apprehensively but gratefully.  She would like to give her thanks to you for thinking of her at this difficult time.
