Hello, this is Henry! He’s our 5 year old rambunctious dachshund. On Friday 5/16 he jumped down off the couch playing with his brother which resulted in an emergency vet visit. That jump changed his life and ours. He was diagnosed with IVDD. We were told if strict bed rest for 2 weeks didn’t work our only other options were surgery which would cost 10-15k, sadly that’s not an option. He currently has no movement of his back legs but that hasn’t stopped him from trying. We have heard from many other IVDD pet parents and with life style changes, medications, therapy and possibly a wheel chair he could live a long happy life, it will just look differently.. despite everything our beloved Henry has faced the past few days he’s still his goofy, lovey, smiley self. We are hoping that this GoFundMe will help us with the costs moving forward to get our Henry back on all fours.
