Our Emily girl had it on her heart to try out for the U19 USRowing Women’s Olympic Development team, her coaches tried to lovingly discourage her telling her that the chances were very slim and that she should apply to one of the other great organizations, BUT Emily persisted. The application process gave us many trials and each time we had to start from scratch, but I believe that by the 4th time we successfully uploaded all of her race times, measurements, videos, etc. She was proud that she at least tried and then unexpectedly we received this letter…

We are pleased to inform you that you have been selected to participate in the official 2022 USRowing Women’s Olympic Development Program in Sarasota, FL!

This camp is an integral part of USRowing's Olympic Development Program, which prepares athletes to compete at future U19, U23, and Senior National Team events. This invitation serves as a gateway to an exciting set of opportunities as you will be part of the USA U19 National Team system.

All this to say, Emily has been brainstorming all of the fundraising options that she can think of, but due to the limited amount of time that she has to fundraise (she has to raise $6,000 by June 1) we thought we would ask if any of you all would like to be a part of her support team?

Most importantly we are SO proud of her for reaching for her dreams and not giving up when the odds aren’t in your favor❤️
