B.J. Hale Medical Fund

B.J. Hale (35 years old) is the Chief of Police in Cobden, Illinois and is a good friend of mine who I have worked with and been lucky enough to have had in my life. His family and him have a long road ahead of them but they are looking towards God for guidance and support. He was recently diagnosed with needing a pancreas transplant due to severe complications related to diabetes which he has had since he was 5 years old. He will be placed on a waiting list for a transplant as of the 28th of May but his Endocrinologist stated that he is using too much insulin which will quickly destroy his kidneys.

A recent update is that Health Alliance will in fact cover the surgical procedure for the transplant.  The Illinois Department of Insurance investigated the claim and has overruled Health Alliances decision, forcing them to cover the procedure. With this good news, he will stilll likely be unable to work for several months after the surgery.

Please give whatever you can (even if it's just a prayer) everything helps no matter if it's financial help or prayer support.
