Miller Twins - Micah & Madilyn

On February 1, 2016 our hearts tightened and we fell to our knees after we got the following news from
Kristens mom:
Dear Friends,
I need your prayers please. My sweet daughter, Kristen is 22 weeks pregnant with twins. Yesterday her water broke with one of the babies and she is having some contractions. They are giving her medication to try to stop her labor. The next 72 hours are critical and please pray that she can keep them inside for as long as possible. They need to at least be 24 weeks to have any chance. My heart is breaking for her. She will remain in the hospital until she delivers. We pray that it will be weeks. 

Update: Kristen had Micah on February 14, 2016 weighing 1lb 11oz.  She is still pregnant with Madilyn.

update on Kristen and Babies:
Micah had a much better day today. They took him off the oscillator and put him back on the ventilator.   He has been holding steady all day.   They resumed his feeding thru a tube but he is now getting Kristen's colostrum.
Praises!!!
Pray that on Friday when they do his brain scan that there will be improvement. This is my greatest concern as of now.

We have followed Kristen on her journey daily through Betty's updates.  This has to be not only mentally and physically exhausting but also financially draining.  As friends and coworkers, we would love to be hosting baby showers for Kristen and Ian, however right now they need our prayers, love, and our support.  
     I know many of us have wanted to drop by the hospital just to leave a care package but because of germs we aren't able to.  Cassie and I thought this would be the best way to come together and  show this family that they aren't alone.  They have a long journey ahead of them.
