Starting this go fund me is actually really hard for me. I dont ever want to take from another person. Sometimes the ones that give to others are ones like myself who are less fortunate financially. Please do not donate if in any way it will cause financial struggles. I have never started anything asking for help for myself.
Before i was injured i rode horses and it was and still is one of my only true joyful hobbies in life. I have only been able to ride one or two times since my injury. Its therapeutic and helps build muscle and muscle memory for walking.
I was offered a chance to be given a beautiful horse that i can ride in my condition. I can not unfortunately afford the electric fence, water tank, transportation fees to get him (Traveler) here. Traveler will have plenty of acres to roam and lots of love once he is here. If you dont know my story please read below as ill post my injury and how it happened. In may 2011
I went hunting for turkey and something bit my cheek. Face was so swollen so I went to the hospital they sent me home with antibiotics
Week and half later I had horrible shoulder pain and I just stayed in bed .
I got up to walk and my legs were like jelly. I had my brother take me 30 min to the hospital by time got there he had to carry me in.
They sent me 2 hours away and by time I got to that hospital infection climbed my spine to where it was taking my breathing and arm movement . I had two hours to live from septic shock
I ended up having staph in my spine . I was paralyzed from my chest down and for 3 months could not even move a toe.
I stared at it every day trying to move it and one day it did . I never gave up and was walking little then I got pregnant with my daughter and I was once again back in chair and lost all my muscle . I have two amazing older kids zoe is 17 and ashton is 15. I have a wondeful supportive husband as well.
In 2016 i had a chiropractor pop my neck causing me to have a dissected vertebral artery in my neck causing a stroke. I was flight lifted on may 7th. I dont know all the effects from this injury as i am already paralyzed worse on that one side. Memory loss was a definite.
I am still struggling to walk and get back whatever i can.
