At just 33 years old, Usman Arif Khan’s life was tragically cut short following a sudden traffic accident in Brisbane.

Usman was a beloved husband, son, friend, lawyer, teacher and much-loved member of his community. He was known for his kindness, generosity and willingness to support and guide others.

His passing is devastating for everyone who knew him, but especially for his wife, who is expecting their first child next month.

What should have been a time of excitement, preparation and joy has suddenly become a period of unimaginable grief and uncertainty. Usman was preparing to become a father, and his wife is now facing the arrival of their baby without the person she expected to share that journey with.

Usman was also the sole income earner for his household, making this loss not only emotionally devastating but financially overwhelming.

This fundraiser has been created to help provide some stability and security for Usman’s wife and soon-to-be-born child as they navigate the months and years ahead. Funds raised will help with everyday living expenses, costs associated with welcoming and raising their baby, and provide some financial breathing room while his wife adjusts to life without him.

Usman also supported his parents, and where possible, funds will help ease the wider financial impact his sudden passing has had on his family.

Usman was a lawyer by profession and also dedicated much of his time to teaching, mentoring and helping others within his community. He had so much ahead of him, particularly the opportunity to become a father and build a future with his young family.

Nothing can replace the husband and father they have lost. But together, we can help make sure financial hardship is one less burden his wife has to carry while grieving and preparing to welcome their child.
