Anthony's Medical and Family Fund

We've all laughed with and been entertained by Tony Coccio!  Now we need to help him and his family.

While vacationing in SC at the end of April, Anthony was struck with puzzeling problems.  He thought it might be a Lupus flare, a disease he's battled for years, but the symptoms were horribly quick and severe.  From a vicious headache to loss of feeling in his legs in 4 days, we knew we had to fly him home asap.  At UMASS Medical in Worcester, the excellent doctors felt if we had waited 2 more days he would have been gone.  They discovered that he had a chicken pox virus in his brain and spinal chord.  The chord was very swollen.  He was treated and is still being treated with a virus fighting medication.  Although he cannot walk now, he hopes to be released from the rehab hospital in a few weeks. The rehab doctors have classified this as a spinal chord injury.  He has to learn to live with this disablility and the house has to be made wheelchair accessible.  This is just one other problem following a world of others.
Of course, there are tremendous medical bills and Tony will never be able to work again.  His wife, Amy, and 2 teenage boys are struggling on one paycheck to pay bills, hospital costs and house modifications.  His youngest son has cystic fibrosis and although doing very well, has big costs associated with that too.

Can you help this wonderful family through this catastrophic problem?  If you could, it would help the stress that they are under and get Tony to the point that he can make us and himself laugh again.  Thank You!
