Young scholar needs help. Takes a village ♥️

Hello World.

Well here I am humbly coming before you walking on faith that this is the right avenue and platform for my daughter and I’s situation.

My name is Dominique and I’m a mother to a wonderful and brilliant 10 year old. We’ve lived in Denver for over a decade now and through some ups and downs it’s time to finally pack our bags and head out for a new journey.

Covid has only made this much needed move slightly more challenging with the lost of 3 jobs during this time. As a  mother whom had to make the tough decision to work or keep her home and do remote learning for the sake of her health( she has a respiratory issue) the choice was clear and we have navigated her whole 5th grade school year from home.

With the mental wellness of both of us being challenged at certain points but still we stand here today stronger for our experiences. It was offered to relocate, reset and regroup within a small community in which we’d have love and support. After some sleepless nights I decide it was in the best interest for us both.

So the process started I gave notice to my last side job as a nanny that I had and to my apartment as we started to wrap our minds around what our new beautiful beginning would feel like. It’s time to heal and mend.

As her father and I were  searching for the right placement for our daughter’s education needs, a beautiful opportunity was presented for a great private school where the numbers are small enough she can attend . Before we declined I prayed  and although it seemed so far from what would be our new reality would be because of my financial adjustments over the past year,  I committed to the by any means mentality because she was finally excited about something again so I’ve applied for grants and scholarships and have almost reached the goal we needed. With the cost of the move and deposits needed to lock in her spot I’m short of the goal by just a bit. I know there’s miracles and good things happen to good people so again as I said I’m humbly before you today to ask for any assistance to make this dream of peace a reality. I want to continue to be the example for my daughter that  anything is possible if you believe. We are packing up and trusting that our next steps are blessed, guided and will be supported. I long for the day that I’m back in the situation to be a blessing to others. Thanks in advance for any prayers, well wishes and blessings you send our way. Stay safe guys ♥️ Truly takes a village and appreciate your kindness and support.
