My baby girl Olive has two tumors on her thyroid, which has caused hyperparathyroidism and another lifethreathening condition called hypercalcemia. Luckily, there is a specialized surgery that can remove the tumors, allowing her to keep living a normal life.

As so many of you know, she is the sweetest dog around and she means the absolute world to me. She is an indescribable joy and comfort to me, and has been family to me during a period of my life when I've had little of that left.

Her surgery and blood testing in the weeks after to monitor her calcium levels will cost between $10,000-$11,000. If we could raise even half of that it would be a lifechanging windfall for Olive and myself.
