Stella’s first Halloween!

This past Monday, 10-25-2021, I (Katelyn/Mom) took Stella to her pediatrician for acid reflux symptoms. Her pediatrician advised he could hear a heart murmur, one he did not hear 3 weeks ago, and told us to take her downtown to MUSC Children’s Hospital ER to be evaluated. After many tests were completed, we were told that our baby girl would need open heart surgery. Not just one surgery, but three. Stella has been diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and Double Right Ventricle. This is a congenital heart defect that was not seen in any of her anatomy scans and was not detected at the hospital when she was born. This was only discovered because we observed her to be spitting up more with her feedings and took her to her pediatrician. We are currently waiting on a surgery date for our sweet girl.

We have a long road ahead of us. Please pray for our family and for our precious Stella. We know God has great plans for her ❤️

This is set up to help with the numerous medical bills that will be incurred from the multiple procedures and hospital stays in the Ushers future. Please pray for healing for Stella. We can’t wait to have you home sweet girl.
