Thank you to all who supported our March 2025 Pediatric Eye Care Mission in Ghana and Nigeria, where 55 children received vision-improving surgeries. From September 20-29, 2025, Dr. Ravishankar KV and Dr. Uma Ravishankar from Usha Kiran Charitable Trust & Eye Hospital, Mysuru, will lead another mission in Tamale, Ghana, invited by the Northern Community Eye Hospital.

Ghana faces a severe shortage of eye care, with only one surgeon per million people. The mission will perform over 50 major pediatric surgeries, like congenital cataracts and tear duct repairs, for children in underserved areas. Professionals volunteer their services, and a philanthropist couple covers most of the $15,000 material costs, but we need $3,000 more to complete funding.
