Thank you to all who supported our September 2025 Pediatric Eye Care Mission in Ghana.
80,000 children in sub-Saharan Africa are living in darkness due to treatable cataracts. In June 2026, our team of three surgeons—Dr. Ravishankar, Dr. Uma Ravishankar, and Dr. Milind Bhide—is heading to Tamale, Ghana, to change that.
The Gap: There is only 1 eye surgeon per 1 million people in Africa.
The Mission: We are volunteering our time to treat cataracts, childhood glaucoma, and corrective eye surgeries pro bono.
The Need: While the Rotary Foundation covers major costs for two doctors, we must personally fund the travel, lodging, and logistics for our third surgeon and the overall team.
Your donation brings the light. By helping us cover these logistical gaps, you aren't just funding a trip—you are directly gifting a child the ability to see the world for the first time.
Professionals volunteer their services, and the Rotary foundation covers major material costs, but we need $4,000 more to complete funding.
Your donations will transform lives. Any contribution is greatly appreciated! Please share this with likeminded friends.
