Support Jorge's Journey to Recovery
Donation protected
On Tuesday, October 15th of this last year, Mr. Jorge Zuluaga (lovingly known as “Mr. George” at Deep River Elementary School where he teaches English Language Learners) was on his way to school when another driver hit him. As a result of this accident, Jorge’s neck was broken in several places and he sustained massive internal injuries. He has been in the hospital since this time, most of which has been spent in a surgical critical care unit.
We are excited and thankful to say that Jorge has made great strides in his recovery, although as of this time, he still does not have use of his legs. This injury is especially difficult for Jorge as he is a marathon runner. Jorge is a strong and positive person and believes that God performs miracles. To say that this man is an inspiration is a serious understatement.
His wife and daughter take turns spending their days and nights with him. They are in need of assistance to help prepare their home for Jorge in a wheelchair and for other specialized equipment he will need. Surely, paying bills and simple day-to-day expenses are difficult to manage at this time as well.
Any contribution, big or small, will make a life-changing difference for Mr. Jorge and his family. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this page with your friends and family to help spread the word.
Thank you for taking the time to read Mr. Jorge’s story—your kindness, generosity, and support mean everything.
