Help the USA get to World Champs

America needs your support to help get the female USA University Netball Team to the FISU World University Netball Championship July 11th - 18th, 2016 in Miami, Florida, USA!

In just over 3 months time, 12 nations with hundreds of female college athletes will be descending on the Sunshine state’s Southern tip to partake in the biggest collegiate event in the International Sport of Netball.  The host team, The United States of America Netball Team, needs your donations to help them  take on the world first hand.   The team is currently ranked 8th in the World.   View the current squad. 

This event is a tangible way for you and your company to enhance your corporate social responsibility by connecting with the university community and show you care about diversity and girls.

Netball is an amateur sport and the athletes are university students from various colleges across the USA.  All athletes and coaches have to raise the necessary funds to compete.  100% of funds raised will go to the costs needed for the USA team to train and compete in Miami.  All the support team are volunteers so there are no salaries being paid.

The USA University Head coach, Ilze Gideons, explains the opportunities this brings for young women:  “Netball brings to the world stage a true team sport that allows all different heights and ability levels to come together to play on one team.  I’m excited to be able to coach Americans in this great sport played by 20 million people around the world.  I know you will come to love it as much as I have.”


This is your chance to show your patriot colors and support the USA, while showing you care about girls in the community.  There are a variety of support options, even a donation of $5 will go a long way.  We have created many exciting donor levels

Global media partner Eurosport will be leading media coverage from St. Thomas University, Miami while the event broadcast partner Vamos Deportes will be streaming all games live globally.  This will be a free broadcast for viewers.   Opportunities exist for donors to have advertising shown during this broadcast.

About Netball
Netball has roots stemming from women’s basketball, has been played throughout the world for over 110 years.  Now an International Olympic Committee (IOC) recognized sport this game is based on the principles of basketball however the goal shooters ‘wow’ the crowds as they shoot into a 10 foot high basket in which there is no backboard.  Players only have three seconds to pass the ball and with their aerial jumps to intercept and move the ball down the court, it’s a great spectator sport that is going to change the face of women sports in the United States.
