Making History: Blind Women Cricket Players Representing the USA at the First Blind Cricket World Cup in India
Help Five Blind Women Make History at the First World Cup.
This November, the very first blind women’s national cricket team will step onto the field in India for the inaugural World Cup. Among them are five of us—Asanda, Caroline, Megan, Tina, and Ana—who are not only athletes, but also business owners, sole providers, and breadwinners for our families.
For 30 days, we’ll be away from home representing the USA on the world stage. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to break barriers and show what blind women can do. But while we’re in India, we won’t be able to run our businesses or bring in the income our families depend on.
That’s where you come in.
Your support gives us the freedom to focus fully on this extraordinary moment—wearing the jersey, walking into the stadium, and playing for something far bigger than ourselves.
This is the first time in history blind women will represent our country at a cricket World Cup. By standing with us, you’re not only helping five women cover essentials—you’re helping blaze a trail for every young girl who dreams of playing despite the odds. Representation matters. And together, we can make sure the USA shows up strong.
How Funds Will Be Used
All donations will go directly toward covering 30 days of basic expenses for our households—rent, utilities, and food—so that while we’re away competing, our families are taken care of.
Any funds we don’t use will be donated to Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled, an Indian nonprofit with extraordinary generosity and a mission to see blind cricket thrive worldwide. Samarthanam has already stepped up to support the USA Women’s Blind Cricket Team by providing uniforms, team travel, and accommodations—and we’re proud to partner with them in this journey.
Every gift, big or small, helps us step onto the field with strength and focus. Please donate, share this page, and be part of making history with us. When the announcer calls “Team USA” in India this November, you’ll know you helped make that moment possible.
