On December 19th, our family suffered an unimaginable loss. My beloved uncle, Chris Disterdick, tragically passed away under heartbreaking circumstances. He was not just a wonderful uncle but a devoted father to his son, whom he loved more than anything in this world. The depth of their bond was unmatched, and the pain of feeling like we lost two people that day is something our family will carry forever.

This tragedy has left our family devastated. My uncle, like so many, didn’t have life insurance or financial plans in place for this kind of unforeseen loss. Funeral costs, even for a simple cremation, are more than $10,000—a burden that makes it even harder for us to properly grieve.
