Ten years ago I visited West Africa with my seminary class and then stayed on for the summer with my good friend and fellow nurse. We traveled to three countries and worked alongside medical missionaries serving the people there. I loved my time there! I've been wanting to join a mission trip and get back to Africa ever since.
After joining the Liberia mission trip last October I knew it wouldn't be a one time trip for me. I wanted to build relationships with the people there and help continue what Dunwoody Baptist Church has done in the past to partner with Balama Development Alliance. I'm trying to raise $1750 for the trip in June where I will work alongside two other nurses in the clinic in the rural village of Gbansue (that we didn't make it to last time!). This is an answer to prayer that two other nurses are joining our team! My friend and co-worker, Susan, is coming and I am so thankful and excited about this! We will be equipping the clinic nurse, educating young girls on health and hygiene and building relationships. I am so thrilled that God has opened the door for this opportunity! I would love your suppport through prayer and financial giving toward my goal. Thank you!
