Jamie's Lawyer to get permission

As most of you know, my children and I are stuck in Chile until we get the permission of a judge to leave the country because the father does not want to give his consent.
Here is the story. After I married Francisco and moved in with him, he changed from the charming man I knew into a more controlling one. Once Lorenzo was born, he became quite violent and even more controlling. And he did all of this in front of our son, who never slept through the entire night until we moved out. After a while, he became violent with Lorenzo. One morning Lorenzo wanted to sit next to him for breakfast and Francisco picked him up by one leg upside down and threw him to the floor. He also taught him the word hot by putting his hand on a hot stove and burned the flesh from his fingers. Francisco threw Lorenzo's high chair across the room and broke most of his toys because he couldnt find the phone charger. And as for me, I was scared for my life. I would get dragged across the kitchen by my hair if I didn't have hot water ready for him in the morning one day but the next it would be because I cut an orange for my son. Everyday there was a "new rule" to follow and a punishment if I broke it. I got slapped because I told him I love my gay friends. I wasn't allowed to have private phone conversations with family. I got thrown out of the car for speeding. I was raped. I was yelled at for taking a walk. He told me he would kill me if I ever left with Lorenzo. The list goes on.
In July 2016, Francisco had a sever psychotic episode where mania and delusions overtook him. He threatened the life of the neighbors half naked with a machete, threatened my life, hit his parents, hit his doctors and told me we were never going to the USA again. He destroyed all of my things and most of Lorenzo's and burned old family photos. When he was hospitalized and I returned to the house to retrieve what I could, I couldn't even let my son enter the house. There was broken glass everywhere, things were broken, knives were sprawled out, salt and oil was on everything, why, I have no idea. I didn't even know he had a mental illness until his episode. Francisco nor his family never told me although he had several episodes and hospitalizations in the past.
I left that house in July and was fortunate enough to find a good friend to let my children and I stay with them. Francisco hasnt seen Lorenzo since October 3 and he has never met my newborn. I have been involved with lawyers and the court since I left but I have gotten no where with getting permission from a judge to leave the country. I am now looking to hire a good lawyer to help us leave. Francisco has asked for visitations but he has given us nothing, no money, no food, no diapers, no clothes, no toys, absolutely nothing but threats and demands.
The public system that I have been using here in Chile is to say the least, inadequate in protecting women and children. That is why so many women are murdered. Francisco is capable of this. Did I mention he once bit off the neighbors ear, burned his friend's house down, tried to kill his brother with a knife to his throat, spent a month in jail because he was accused of raping a girl, and was deported from New Zealand for attempted murder, and many other things? Well, I didn't find any of that out either until he was hospitalized. I married a monster.
I need a good lawyer to help protect my children and myself from him and to leave this country. I contacted the US Embassy for help and they suggested hiring a good, private lawyer, which is crazy expensive. I have never paid for a lawyer. A lot of people helped me when he had his episode to help with plane tickets and it has taken much longer than I expected. I am asking for help again because I am having a hard time finding a job. In this country, companies will not hire a pregnant woman because it is mandatory to take a 6 month postnatal leave. And most companies will not hire a woman with a young child either because they cannot fire you if your child is under a year and a half. It is a Chilean law. I do have a job interview Friday......I hope it works out! I have to lie about having a newborn. But it will not be enough to pay for a good lawyer with all my other expenses. And even if you can't help financially, thank you for reading my story and any support you can give emotionally or otherwise.
