Hi, my name is Ellie and I’m fundraising to help towards the costs of surgery and rehabilitation for my miniature dachshund, Stanley.

Unfortunately, Stanley has been diagnosed with IVDD (a disease caused by a slipped disc in his back - this disease affects 1 in 4 dachshunds). Despite taking every precautionary measure possible, Stanley has fallen victim to statistics and he now needs surgery to correct this disease.

Stan is a cheeky, energetic, loving and all-round perfect boy and watching him not be able to walk and hold his back legs up is breaking my heart.

Any donations will be so gratefully received, I’ll be forever thankful to those of you who have helped my pup.

The cost of surgery is approximately £10,000 and I am asking for donations towards this cost, as well as physio therapy and rehabilitative care.

UPDATE 10/06/2025-

Stanley has had his surgery and is now home with us recovering. He still cannot walk but he’s doing really well and everyday we see a little improvement.

Stanley will be on crate rest for 8 weeks after his operation. He will be starting hydrotherapy during this time, to aid with his recovery.
