Please find it in your hearts to help our father, the Rev. George R. Toulson, Sr., who was stricken with a rare cancer of the thymus gland in 2013. He was in church one Sunday and began to sweat profusely, feeling cold and clammy. He was rushed to the hospital with symptoms suggestive of a heart attack in progress, only to be blind sided by the diagnosis of a tumor mass that had been slowly growing for years in the mediastinum, the central part of his chest. The tumor had already began to spread to his lungs.
The diagnosis was devastating, but from the outset, his faith never faltered. With the help of his wife, Bertha, his children, his church family's Men's and Marriage Ministries, for which he is the leader of both, and his OurGV family, the internet-based company for which he works from home, he has maintained an extraordinary level of work ethic and faith - always committing to do the work necessary to make life better.
However, since his condition has progressed, the financial needs have become so great, almost insurmountable, to cover hospitalization costs, medication and chemotherapy costs, nutritional supplements, immediate needs, and the costs of daily living. He has sown many seeds into so many lives that we hope that many of you will find it in your heart to sow a but a mustard seed into his.
