With deep sorrow, we share that our dear friend and member Yan Cen (known to his friends as "Rock"), visiting from China, tragically passed away during a recent hiking trip on the North Shore of Vancouver, BC. He lost his life while bravely attempting to rescue a teammate in immediate danger.

Yan Cen was a person of immense kindness and passion, always eager to help others. His sudden departure has left his family devastated, facing enormous, unexpected financial burdens. Your contributions will directly cover the overwhelming non-resident ICU medical bills from VGH, the required legal and administrative procedures, the costs of local funeral services.

As his outdoor trail family, PNOA is starting this GoFundMe to ease the weight on his grieving family. 100% of funds will go toward these essential expenses, and we will provide transparent updates on their usage.
