Hi, I’m April, and our Bible study group is raising funds to help a US Veteran, Chris Evans, get working transportation. Chris served our country in Vietnam flying CH-47 Chinook helicopters. Chris has a daughter who was born while he was serving in the war, a son he adopted four years later, and four grandkids. Now he is retired, lives alone, and is living strictly off of his small social security check each month.

Chris’ only vehicle, an old Jeep, has broken down, and fixing its engine will cost more than it is worth. He is still paying on the loan for the Jeep, and has no money to provide reliable transportation to go grocery shopping, go to church, etc. Our hope is to raise enough money to buy a reliable used vehicle for him as quickly as possible. If enough funds are donated, it will also help him get out from under the loan on the Jeep, leaving a bit more in his monthly budget for basic necessities like food, utilities and rent.

Chris is an honorable, strong Christian man, and he would not ask for help himself, even though he needs it. Please pray for Chris, then donate what you are able toward helping this worthy Vet.
