U.S. Veteran Falsely Jailed

Amanda served her country with pride and dedication. As she was serving her country, her husband, who was also in the military, was suddenly discharged from the Navy before serving out his term. Amanda was in Japan when she heard the news of his discharge, although the two were separated before she left for her tour, his sudden discharge caused a ripple in her life. Amanda's mother was taking care of her child while she was being deployed to the different parts of the world. Her husband, who found fatherhood to be too demanding agreed that it was in the best interest of their son to be with Amanda's mother. When two spouses are in the navy, one is on land and the other is at sea. The husband always does the tours, especially when there is a child/children involved. Unfortunately, Amanda's husband refused to take the tours and Amanda with no recourse had to do them. Amanda's husband stayed in California for a brief time after his sudden discharge from the navy with his girlfriend, who became his second wife shortly later, after he flew her out to North Carolina, (marriage occurred due to religious purposes). Amanda's husband returned home to North Carolina, settled in and shortly after, traveled to Philadelphia and took his son from Amanda's mother and turned him over to his mother, but not before getting child support from Amanda while she was serving her country. After getting a honorable discharged from the Navy, Amanda returned to Philadelphia, acquired a job, and started working on her degree, which was interrupted due to the stress of this issue. In the mean time, she allowed her in-laws in North Carolina to continue to care for her son. Although, the father lives in North Carolina, he is busy with his new family and have little to no time for his or Amanda's son.   During the summer months, Amanda would go to North Carolina, pick her son up and return him during the school term to the grandmother. In August of 2017,  she informed the grandmother that she will not be returning her son for the up and coming school term for she wanted him to finish his schooling in one of Philadelphia's private school, which she had received a partial grant for him to attend.  The grandmother refuse to relinquish her son to her in the summer of 2017, denying her, her time with her son. The father got involved, he told her she could not have him. Sadly, this is a man who has seven children and five he does not support, Amanda's son is one of the five. Amanda has filed for full custody of her son and has been fighting the grandparents and him ever since. As I mentioned earlier, Amanda's husband remarried, while still married to her. The family is very affluent and they have thrown up many obstacles to keep Amanda apart from her son. Her bigamist husband has a uncle who is the captain of the State Troopers. They live in a small town, (reminds me of the fictional town Mayberry, and the saying of Cheers, where everybody knows your name). Amanda was arrested last year for trespassing. The local police, friends of the uncle, the state trooper, served her the papers on Scotland county court property, and arrested her right on the spot for being on her mother-in-law's property the day before. The judge over seeing the case threw it out, for she was served the trespassing papers after the fact. She was not aware that she was not allowed on the property! Amanda has been paying for lawyers but she has exhausted all of her funds. Scotland County informed her that noone in Scotland or the surrounding counties would touch her case for everyone knows about it.  Judge Stone who was presiding over the case left the county. He should not have taken the case for he is the golfing buddy of her husband's uncle; the State Trooper, and the lawyer that is representing him. They are known as the good old boys. I have written letters to Governor Roy Cooper of North Carolina, Supreme court justices, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Sonia Sotomayor. My niece sits in a North Carolina jail while her bigamist husband walks around free. With this record she can be deem unfit as a mother. The grandmother wins!  They did not appoint her an attorney which that is everyone's right to free counsel. They would not address the fact that her husband is a bigamist. Everyone knows one another in Laurinburg. She will not get a fair shake there, being put in jail for taking her son after Judge Stone called a mistrial over the custody is a disgrace to the judicial system. This is abuse of power. I truly believe he called a mistrial due to the letters and phone calls that were made on Amanda's behalf to the different entities. Judge Stone is not in Laurinberg. We have tried to get in touch with him and all we get is the run around. He doesn't even have a office and what judge does not have an office or a telephone number that he/she cannot be reached at. My niece is a good mother, a great human being, and a servant to the people of the United States.
