We are here to raise funds for an amazing DOCUMENTARY following the 2019 U.S. THEY comedy tour.

-> In one Prius
-> For three months on the road
-> Through all 50 states
-> In one of the most tumultuous periods in U.S. History
-> Starting APRIL 1st 2019!

WHY A DOCUMENTARY THOUGH?!

Great question. Trevor and Jori have never gone on tour. They're from tiny towns. Because of their respective gender and nationally, they're outsiders. The country seems to be on the verge of burning, and comedy has never been hotter.

This film is the story of two of the quickest and most hilarious people I've ever met, sharing their stories, fighting to pull in and win over audiences, and experiencing America, in all of its beauty and all of its ugliness. 

Will they be able to survive 90 days in a Prius? Will they be able to survive 90 days of each other? Will they be chased by crowbar-wielding neo-nazis? Will anyone show up to see them?

We have a unique story and now is the time to tell it. 

WHAT DO WE NEED?!

The Plan: A Four Pronged Attack

Trevor is going on tour!  Jori is opening the show!  Camen is filming the whole trip!

At the end, we come away with:

1. An hour comedy special for Trevor. 
2. An hour comedy special for Jori. 
3. A feature length documentary. 
4. Daily social media updates, vlog posts, videos and stories shared from the road. 

We are asking for donations from anyone willing to support Camen's documentation of Trevor Wade and their
bodyguard/opening act Jori Phillips, as they travel the entire country on their first tour.
As the old saying goes, it’s better to travel with three, than to be murdered!

FUNDS BREAKDOWN!

Our ideal goal would be to sell our finished products to Netflix or another streaming service, as a three part
package.
Another option is self distribution,
Either way, to make a professional and valuable product, we need professional equipment. We will be filming, in the car, outside in the world, and on stages across America.  

Based on our needs and the equipment we already have available, this is what we have left to acquire

Audio:
Sound is 60% of the image. You can get away with low quality visuals (which they like, totally won't be), as long as the sound is on point. 

Mics: Sennheiser AVX mics. - $1500
At a minimum we'll need a pair of Sennheiser AVX mics. These are reliable, resistant to interference, and adjust gain on the fly - a key feature when you're rolling without a sound person.

Mixer: A Sound Devices Mix Pre 6 $900
small enough to live in a radical neon fanny pack or a jacket pocket and always be rolling. The pre-amps are industry standard, and can take inputs from our wireless mics, the stage mics, and anything else they throw at us.

Cameras:
2x Panasonic GH5. $3200
2x Black Magic Micro Cinema Cameras $1800

Vehicle Mounting Grip: 
Suction cups, magic arms, etc. $600

Hard Drives :
6x 5TB portable hard drives - $600

Insurance:
In case our stuff gets jacked. $300

Total based off rough above estimate: $8900

WHAT ARE WE DOING ON OUR END?!

Trevor has been working 3 jobs for a year to finance the travel and organize the tour, and is marketing along the way so it hopefully pays for itself.
Jori and Camen are throwing all their savings all in, and being helped along the way by generous supporters like you.
Camen is selling his RED camera and gimbal. 
We are betting it all on this opportunity.

No matter what, we will be there, on the tour, through all 50 states.  But if you can help, we have a chance to come back with an amazing experience, a commercially viable film, and a story to share with the world.

Trevor Wade: The Headliner

Clownfish ("Best of Fringe", Nugget Fringe) is an hour of comedy and storytelling exploring sex, gender, identity, and other black-and-white topics. 
Trevor Wade (they/them;The Moth StorySlam winner) mixes tales of misguided affection and botched romance with cutting observations about this divide we've erected between "man" and "woman". 
If you've ever felt like you didn't fit in the boxes, if your option was not listed on the drop-down menu, if you want to learn more about this national conversation we're having about gender, if you know what all the letters in LGBTQIA stand for, if you had no idea we were up to that many letters, if you're open to a new point of view, if you want to trick a bigot, if you're looking for a unicorn, come see this show. It's honest as all get-out, glam as Hell, as weird as America, and also happens to rhyme.

Jori Phillips: The Opening Act

Jori Phillips grew up on a rock off the coast of BC Canada. Now she gets her rocks off doing comedy in
the US of Eh?! As the whitest immigrant you know, Jori brings her unique, small town perspective to this country, as she works out what it is to be an outsider, and a human being.
Her ever changing set is personal, relevant and full of an energy that can only be described as godlike. You will want to follow her offstage and into her life. But don’t. That’s stalking.
Jori has been performing since she was six years old, and has no plans of stopping. She is famous for making a dress out of a thesaurus, and likes to make dolls in her free time.

Camen Hodges: The Filmmaker

The product of a Waldorf education, Camen is mostly incapable of communicating outside of a visual realm. This is a asset that he uses to his advantage as a filmmaker, director and camera operator. From freelance documentary work for Bloomberg Digital, to a job for a giant fighting robot company,  Camen’s unique shooting style and perspective has won him a "Best Cinematography" award and taken him to Mali, Japan, and Detroit in January without gloves.
