Hi my name is Elise, we are trying to raise money for our girl luna to have the operation she needs. Unfortunately luna has IVDD, a common condition in brachycephalic breeds like French Bulldogs, where the spinal discs degenerate and can herniate, compressing the spinal cord, making Luna paralysed in her back legs. we had no signs of luna developing this it has came out of nowhere she’s a fun energetic dog who loves her walks and we are all heartbroken to see her like this. The operation luna needs is 6,000 but i am not making this go fund me hoping that the full cost of the operation will be donated to us me and my family are also trying our best to afford the operation for her ourself we would just greatly appreciate some help. Luna can not walk and struggles to even sit and can now no longer control her bladder, this is absolutely heart breaking to watch, in the space of 24hr we have watched her go from our healthy energetic girl to now not even being able to move. We are aware this is common and can happen to 1 of 5 french bulldogs during there life’s and unfortunately luna is one of them. we understand people are going to question why luna does not have insurance and that’s because from luna being a small puppy she has had multiple problem from ear infections to ulcers in her eyes making pet insurance a lot more difficult to get at a realistic cost. luna has always been a well loved high maintenance girl she is the heart of our home and losing her is not an option for us, she’s only four years old and has many healthy and happy years to come. anything would help and be greatly appreciated at this time thank you.
