Hi, my name is Chance Gundy and on Wednesday, June 28th, 2023 at 4:45 pm the light of my life, my favorite person in the entire world, my rock, passed away. Her name was Mary, she was literally the coolest person over 35 that I knew. She was a cooky white lady from South Dakota, who loved A Tribe Called Quest and Josh Turner. Every person that she touched in her life knew how incredibly amazing it was of an opportunity to know her, learn from her, and love her. She had an incredible work ethic in which no one could keep up. She worked so hard, in the hope to give my mother and me a better future, but she, unfortunately, overdid it. 45 years in the mortgage industry takes its toll. Toward the end of her life, she became tired and uninterested in things. Watching her waste away was truly the hardest thing I've had to do in my 25 years of life. However, I know in my heart, she is at peace now, riding a Harley Davidson, with bleach-blonde spiked hair, and a divine fruity tequila drink ;) Unfortunately, my mother was her sole caretaker and unable to work. My grandma required 24 hours around the clock care. And I recently got back from Seattle, and am only in week two of starting my new job. We desperately need help with funds for her cremation, memorial, and rent. My grandma and I used my income and her income to pay the bills and now my mother and I are facing homelessness in the next couple of months. Anything helps, we mainly need funds to properly lay my grandmother to rest. To know Mary Gundy was to know joy. She was literally the light in a room at all times. I truly do not know how my mom and I are to go on without her, but I am going to try as I know she would beat my ass if I didn't. Thank you
