US Military Baseball

Donation protected
Just about over a year ago I hung up the cleats, the glove, and the bat and thought my days of chasing a baseball career were over. As most of you know baseball was life for me. I joined the United States Marine Corps on April 16, 2018 and thought I’d spend the years after my enlistment playing slow pitch softball. The Lord has challenged me greatly this past year testing my heart, and moral courage to press on and accomplish what I never thought I’d ever do! A while ago I was online and saw a application to submit a resume to play for US Military Baseball. I never knew being in the military that there were these opportunities. While I submitted my application I begin to ask my Staff NCO’s and NCO’s (Ssgt and Sgt) about how I could play and liked hood and they all told me that I wouldn’t be able to being in the air wing and that I need to learn my job first. I was disappointing to hear but I had heard that my whole life that I was never good enough or wasn’t going to be one of the best. Throughout my years of playing I proved all those people wrong. Just recently the coach from US Military Baseball called me and asked me to be apart of his team as a starting pitcher. My command at MCAS New River VMM - 263 here in Jacksonville, NC just gave me the permission to be apart of this organization and represent the Armed forces, My Unit, and the Marine Corps. I feel so blessed to have this opportunity and to be apart of a unit where they are all about their marines and giving us opportunities like this to go make the best of it. The Lord has done some amazing things in my life this last year and this being one of them. Another chance to do what I love and another chance to maybe, just maybe, play professional baseball. I would greatly appreciate any donation you are willing to help with as a little goes a long way. Unfortunately as some of you maybe asking why I have to pay because this first tour of games in July is a tryout. I have to fund myself the first time for my travel and my equipment, lodging, and food expenses. If I were to make the team this tour then I would be set and not have to do this again and be apart of US military Baseball! If you would like to see what I’m doing please visit usmilitarybaseball.gov . Thank you all so much for you help and consideration into making a dream of mine a reality.
