US J1’S IN MASSACHUSETTS
Donation protected
Good day! We are the Filipino J1’s from Hyatt Regency Boston Downtown and Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor. We are just young people who took the risk and came here to learn, gain experience and pursue our dreams and future endeavors.
Unfortunately, this pandemic happened and although we know it’s inevitable, still we all feel lost.
Due to this crisis, we have been laid off for about 4 weeks now and have been struggling since then (mentally, emotionally, financially).
The most challenging part is finding resources in covering up for our expenses - rent and bills.
We may have heard that the government is giving a recession of payment for housing rents but our landlord doesn’t seem to care either way.
We have shelled out all of our savings just so we won’t get kicked out until we could find a plane ticket going back home.
Despite these difficulties, Our heart goes to the LSM Batch 1980, Samonte, Rojas and Mcleod Family for the support they have shown towards us throughout these trying times. We just want you to know how much we appreciate your unending kindness and generosity.
We also want to mention the kind hearted management and staff of Hyatt Regency Boston Downtown and Harbor and also Mr. Vicken Brounsuzian for supporting us through groceries, food, water and other supplies.
We give you our heartfelt gratitude for understanding our situation and helping us survive through. Your willingness to help despite facing the same crisis restores our faith in humanity especially in our own Filipino Culture.
Even if we are miles away from our respective families, you all treated us like we were your own. You have been such a blessing to our lives.
From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to say thank you very much and we will all get through this together!
