The northern part of Veracruz, Mexico got affected the overflow of 4 rivers, “Tecolutla”, “Pantepec/Tuxpan”, “Cazones”, and “Nautla the night of October 9th. Docens of communities along the rivers got flooded. Alamo and Poza Rica being the two localities severely affected. Most of the population wasn’t prepared to this, and most of them are now affected. Hundreds of people lost their belongings, their businesses, and work places.

Members of my family living in Alamo, Veracruz are among the affected. We are looking for donations to help them and other neighbors affected by the flooding. With your donations members of my family living in central Veracruz will buy food, water, medication and toiletries. They will be transported to them this Wednesday!

La zona norte de Veracruz, México, se vio afectada por el desbordamiento de cuatro ríos: el Tecolutla, Pantepec/Tuxpan, Cazones y Nautla, la noche del 9 de octubre. Docenas de comunidades a lo largo de los ríos quedaron inundadas, siendo Álamo y Poza Rica dos de las localidades más afectadas.

La mayoría de la población no estaba preparada para esta situación y ahora muchas personas se encuentran damnificadas. Cientos de personas han perdido sus pertenencias, sus negocios y lugares de trabajo.

Mi familia, que vive en Álamo, Veracruz, está entre los afectados. Estamos solicitando donaciones para poder ayudarles a ellos y a otros vecinos afectados por las inundaciones. Con su apoyo, miembros de mi familia que viven en el centro de Veracruz comprarán alimentos, agua, medicamentos y artículos de higiene personal, que serán entregados este miércoles.
