Help the US Beach Sprint Team compete at Worlds
Donation protected
Hi, we are the 2023 U.S. National Team for Coastal Rowing. Though we are Team USA under USRowing, our sport is completely self-funded, so we are asking for your support to help us compete against the world’s fastest crews at the World Rowing Championships in Barletta, Italy next month.
We are Chris Bak, Christine Cavallo, Coral Kasden, Alexa McAuliffe, Kory Rogers, and Jeni Sorli racing the coastal mixed quad, the mixed double, and the men’s and women’s single.
The coastal rowing sector is not yet financially supported by the USRowing governing body until it becomes an Olympic event in 2028. So we really need help covering the costs strictly to compete which include: race entry fees, equipment rentals and gear, housing, and travel for USRowing support staff. This will total $2,000 per person. Anything helps to chip away at this personal cost.
We all earned our spot on Team USA after racing highly competitive crews at U.S. Trials in LA, California earlier this year. We came out on top as the fastest crews in the country, and were named to Team USA for Coastal Beach Sprints. Now it’s time to put our speed to the test internationally and see who is the fastest in the world!
We appreciate anything you are able to put toward our fundraiser to alleviate the financial burden that is unfortunately part of our self-funded sport.
In this time leading up to Worlds, we are training hard to make the podium and earn Golds for the U.S. in all events!
Thank you!
