This is vulnerable for me. I have never made a GoFundMe, I hope this does not feel impersonal. I want to invite all of you in to where I feel God leading me, and ask whoever feels led to help me get there! I am going to join a ministry called Revelation Wellness as an Instructor, and I need to raise $2314 to get there.
What is Revelation Wellness?

What is A Revelation Wellness Instructor?
All instructors in training learn how to teach a safe and effective Revelation Fitness® class. Ultimately, I will become a certified group fitness instructor with training to bring the gospel into fitness classes. It sounds bizarre but I’ve attended these classes and it is truly amazing.
Going through this training will teach me how to provide safe and inspiring places for people to love God, get healthy, be whole and love others so they can become the people they were created to be ‑ which is more than a number on a scale, an age on a birth certificate, or the size of their jeans. They also become certified facilitators of The Wellness Revelation, an 8‑week book/curriculum study designed to help people lose what weighs them down so they are free to love God, themselves and others.
Why?
The true culprit is that I feel so undeniably called by God to be a part of this. I can’t explain it more clearly than that. I’ve been listening to the “Reving the Word” Podcasts while I work out for almost two years, and Instructor Training is mentioned often. And every time it’s mentioned my heart stirs and I think, that’s me. That’s for me. I feel so inexplicably drawn to this ministry in my spirit, and that is the primary reason I’m moving forward. If you live in Galveston, you’ve probaaaably heard me rave about it and I made you listen to their podcast.
There’s something so vivid and vulnerable when people are sweating and working towards a goal together. There’s connection. Your walls are down and everyone can see your effort. I can just imagine the sweet friendships and support systems when those kinds of friendships are forged in the life-giving, whole-hearted love of Christ. I want to make an environment where that can happen. I want to speak the truths of Jesus over a group of people as we all move our bodies to try to take care of the temples He created. That what I would be able to do as Revelation Wellness Instructor.
Also, I love people. I enjoy meeting them, getting to know them, gathering, bonding, laughing, playing. And certain ones of you will KNOW that I love dancing (looking at you, tri delta). And others from my public health training know that I care deeply about the whole health of people’s bodies, minds, souls, and circumstances. This ministry fits the things I care about in a lot of different ways. Its something I get excited for, that I feel alive doing, and just genuinely enjoy. I danced from age 4-18, have exercised in gyms and out my whole life (thank you YMCA), and studied health education for 6 years collectively in undergrad and graduate school.
And honestly, this is something I could do as a stay at home mom with a young kid. Many instructors teach one or two classes a week in church buildings, and childcare could be arranged. I am so excited about participating in a ministry that can happen anywhere, and that could allow me to protect my time with my tiny kiddo during her young years.
Why are you raising money? And how much?
This is a really hard decision for me to raise money. I’m not going on a mission trip or leaving to do a ministry. But this is a ministry I can have in all the cities I am about to live in. And as Zack is finishing medical school and we enter into his first year of residency, we really are not in a place where I have $2000 to spend on anything. Your money would be spent as follows:
Revelation Wellness Tuition- $1695
9 Week/10 Session online Journey
1 Week in person intensive training in November in Arizona
CPR Training $30
ACE Group Fitness Instructor Manual- $28.76
The Way of the Dragon or the Way of the Lamb- $9.51
Wellness Revelation Book $11.55
TOTAL: $1775
