Help Grandma Rebuild After Fire Loss
Donation protected
I can’t believe I’m writing this… but my 91 year old grandmother’s home has completely burned down due to the Eaton Fire in Altadena. She lived there for 68 years. She has been living with her oldest son (my uncle), who takes care of her in every way. They had to leave the house in a hurry, and were not able to take anything with them due to the rush and their old age. They currently have about two changes of clothes, toothbrushes, deodorant, hair brushes, etc. Like many of our friends, they too left and thought they’d be back soon. Devastatingly enough, the home burnt down shortly after they left. My grandmother raised me with my then single mother. I grew up in that house and all of my childhood memories as well as all of my families’ have burnt up to nothing. My 91 year old grandmother is able to live off her late husband’s pension, and my uncle retired because she needs 24/7 care and can’t walk without assistance. My family is all helping as best as we can, but I thought I’d give it a shot to see if our friends would like to help as well. I say this with tears in my eyes, but please share and keep them in your prayers. Thank you so much for your time and God bless. ❤️
