Pastor Alan James

If you have ever had the privilege of meeting Pastor Alan James you know that he is truly one-of-a-kind. Pastor James is an inspiration to so many people but he is so humble that he doesn't see his own worth! He has a way about him that instills faith in someone to believe in themselves and he motivates people to make a change for the better spiritually, emotionally, and mentally! On February 1st we all got the shock of our lives. He went to the ER due to pain he was feeling and found out that he had a heart attack. The next day we were told that he would have to have a triple bypass surgery. They transported Pastor James from Piedmont in Newton to Piedmont in Atlanta. On the way to Atlanta he had another heart attack. On the day of surgery while prepping Pastor James, he went into anaphylactic shock due to a severe allergic reaction. The Dr. told us he wouldn't be able to perform the bypass surgery due to the weakend state of his body and he needed to find the cause of the allergic reaction. They placed Pastor into ICU due to all of the heart attacks he kept having. They ran tons of test for the allergy issue but they couldn't pinpoint the cause. The Dr. met with us and told us that he felt we should proceed with the surgery because they could not keep increasing the nitro. He stated that Pastor was already receiving the max they could give him to control the ongoing heart attacks. He explained to us that if Pastor had to many more heart attacks he was going to die. The Dr. also informed us that the allergic reaction could happen again during surgery. He was very blunt and told us if that happened he would do everything he could to save him but the chance of survival was extremely low. BUT thank God that He brought our Pastor out of surgery.
As you have read, Pastor suffered a lot of issues and the medical bills are extremley high. Even though he has insurance the amount he has to pay out of pocket is a tremendous amount. We all know how Pastor James is... he will do all he can to pay these bills and not complain about the struggle it causes. He will work full time (when released), pastor full time (without a salary), and NEVER ask for any help with the accumulating expenses. As of right now Pastor still hasn't been released to go back to work but the household bills and medical bills keep coming. So that is where Ricky and I come in. We are asking all of you to please help take the burden off of Pastor and Sister James. We would love to raise enough money to pay all of his medical expenses, the cost of his esophagus surgery he will have to undergo within the next couple of months, and catch up on any bills that may have fell behind during this difficult time.
