Urszula's Extreme Marathon Challenge
Donation protected
My name is Urszula Musik,
In addition to being a marathon runner (I already run 33 of them), I am also a nurse who cares deeply about the well-being of children and young people. For many years, I have watched with concern as younger and younger people, even children, struggle with mental health issues and fragile psyches. I see how the stress and pressure of everyday life can overwhelm them, as if they were losing their footing. This hurts me the most — seeing young souls lose their joy and strength because they don't have the right support around them. That is why I have decided that my challenges will have a deeper purpose – to raise awareness of these issues and to surround young people with care and understanding. I want each of them to know that they are not alone, that there is hope, and that it is worth fighting for a better future.
So let me tell you about my challenges and explain why I need your help. I am the first Polish woman who plans to run the seven biggest marathons in the world (World Marathon Majors) within a year, also within a year I want to run marathon on every continent. But I also have one of the biggest challenges of my life ahead of me - a marathon in Antarctica! It's not just a run, but the fulfillment of my sports dreams and a test of human endurance in extreme conditions. To get there, however, I need your support.
Why Antarctica?
I have already run 33 marathons and finished each one at the finish line. However, Antarctica is the most unpredictable and harsh continent on Earth. Running in temperatures as low as -20°C, amidst icy winds, is something that requires not only physical preparation, but also tremendous determination. I want to prove to myself and others that even the most difficult goals are achievable if you believe in them.
What do I need funds for?
- Travel and logistics costs (flights, transportation to Antarctica, insurance, the entry for this marathon alone costs $23,000)
- Specialized equipment (thermal clothing, shoes, accessories)
- Starting and organizational fees
- Rehabilitation and physical preparation
Not everyone can run in Antarctica, but everyone can become part of this adventure. Your support is not just financial help - it's motivation that will push me forward when the hard times come.
Even small amounts create big things. If you can't help financially, please share my fundraising - that's a huge help too! Thank you in advance for being on my path!
Antarctica is my Everest - help me conquer it!
Thank you for every support and good word!
