Ursula's 2 surgeries in Peru

URSULA WILL UNDERGO 2 SURGERIES THIS COMING TUESDAY SEPT 25TH: THYROIDECTOMY AND HYSTERECTOMY.
After having issue with fibrosis and abnormal periods for months, to the point that it disrupted her everyday life. Losing so much blood made her anemic, weak, and incapacitated her to work normally. As many of you know, she is a breast-cancer survivor. With the current health care system in the USA, she basically is uninsurable and she cannot afford to be treated in here.
Ursula has been living a humble life where money is seldom and love is unlimited.
She decided to go to Peru to see a specialist. After several exams, they found cysts in her ovaries and several fibrosis, with one in the upper part of the uterus. Her body is constantly bleeding to evacuate it, unsuccessfully. The solution is to do a full hysterectomy.
But it is not all, they found that the endometrium is thicker than usual and also a nodule in her thyroid. Because of her previous cancer and the cancer history in her family, they need to perform 2 biopsies to make sure there is no cancerous cells.
Unfortunately, the result of the Thyroid biopsy came back positive: URSULA HAS THYROID CANCER.
Now, she needs to have her thyroid removed and the parathyroid gland as well. Because the thyroid surgery is quite urgent as well as the hysterectomy, the doctors decided to do both surgery the same day. The first doctor will remove the thyroid. Then the second doctor will perform the hysterectomy.
Ursula won’t be able to speak for several days due to the incision in her neck. This will be heavy on her body. To prepare for surgery, because she is anemic, they are injecting her with 6 intravenous (IV) iron infusion to rise her hemoglobin. The recovery will take 4 weeks. After 30 days, she will be injected with radioactive iodine, a therapy for Thyroid Cancer. She will need to be isolated in the hospital for 3 days as she will be radioactive and then 5 more days of resting. After that, she will finally go back home!
Ursula has always been active in her community. She offers a helping hand, a listening ear, a heartfelt hug to anyone who needs it. Her positive attitude and witty sense of humor always bring a smile on your face. She is a spiritual being with a beautiful soul.
